What's Happening in the Garden???

The turf is doing excellent already most of it has taken and rooted also its growing fast with the amount of rain we have had..
My mums carer noticed that a rose has been ripped out of my garden this morning and was thrown on the grass, it was my Irish Eyes 1/2 standard that was in the front garden they just ripped it out and snapped it in half.. Grrr!! so i will have to replace that now, which is going to cost me around £ 30- £40..

The turf is doing its still green and looking good.. more rain for bank hoilday monday and then warming up .. so i will be back on watering duties when its sunny

Finished laying the last of the turf.. Just water water from now on .. But today is like monsoon rain its really pouring down so no need to water for today

Finally my rose turned up.. It has survived its journey well.. and its now in its new home on the front arch.. Also ordered the turf for the back garden its coming on the 25th may (weds)

Hopefully today my rose shall arrived for the front arch, Brought some nice plants from my local shop to start filling up some space in the tubs and make them look nice.. Also purchased 2 honeysuckles from aldi's for the front arch..

Not much happening at the moment in the garden a lot cooler and some rain at last.. Just plenty of weeding, Ordering the turf for the lawns end of the week for next week delivery so i can do that over the weekend also ordered the mesh for the reinforcement of the lawn too..

Just ordered off ebay a 5ft white climbing rose to complete the front rose arch, Just need a white clematis and a Jasmine to complete the arch, I will wait untill Gardeners World for that..

Well Thats both areas marked out and dug over ready for some top soil or conditioner.. had to cover one side due to Gypsy trying to dig it already..
Brought some more lily bulbs in wilkinsons cheap and finished off the lily border..
Everything is coming on a treat lots of roses starting to bud up and flower... Whats amazing is the honeysuckle its got mad and the scent is mind blowing..

Started on another project that i wasn't thinking of reinstating the lawn back i was going to woodchip the area as before but we got a offer of turf that cost less than the woodchip so we are going to reinstate 2 lawns.. So been busy marking out the areas..

Blimey another hot day, Painted the deck with a shade of green called sage, The deck looks alot better now..

Started on the deck to have a look at why its a bit soft in one area, Bad news the dock had rotted so i kept half and created a sunken garden for my mums 75th birthday..

Rose arch and pergola mostly completed just a few more little jobs to do on it, had some really heavy rain and storms.. the garden is looking looking and things are growing like mad even the weeds ..

Timber arrived along with fixings from screwfix so i decided to do the the front path rose arch and pergola.. started at 11am and finished at 7.30pm.

Still busy potting around the garden sorting things out, One of my neighbours gave me a table and 4 chairs so thats now in the potting shed .. I also gave the potting shed a quick lick paint .. ran out so i need some more to finish off also the roof needs seeing to so i am getting some brushwood screening .. it will be then the potting tiki shed ..lol..
Got most of the veg in the last week, Peas,beans,leeks,garlic and strawberries .. just waiting for delivery of my other strawberries and toms for the front garden..
Got to build a new rose arch and pergola for the front garden this week
Also got a huge problem with one of my decks might need replacing next year.. too much to this year..
All the double bank hoildays make the weekend so long,

What a lovely hot sunny day.. i have finaly broke the back of the garden clearing all the winter rubbish and damage, Just redesigning the veg area, everything is growing great guns and sadly i have lost a few plants and roses .. but hoepfully i will replace them so they can fill the gap.. I will post some updated pics of the garden over the next week

I have just sorted the front garden out over the last few days, Jobs still need to be done like replace the front rose arch as the metal one broke last year just a windy storm and basically keep on weeding and chasing lily bettle.. and prepare my front garden for a competion i have been entered in to for "Dunstable's best front garden" ..
